Journal Entry for Friday, October 21st
On Friday we sorted through more printers. When we got to Davis Inkjet and Toner we found out that we had to do whatever it took to get the ink cartridges out of the printers. The first day I was there, Brandon, our mentor, had told us that if the cartridges could not come out, we could leave them in there and did not have to worry. However, on Friday, Brandon said that his boss had gotten mad because he had gotten a bag full of cartridges from the printers that we had thrown away on Wednesday. So now we had to get those ink cartridges out of those printers even if we had to break the printers. We broke all of the HP 500 and 600 series in order to get the cartridges out; we had taken all the cartridges out from the other printers. It was very noisy in there because we were smashing and breaking apart the printers. Andrew scraped his arm and got ink on his shirt, and Josh cut his finger.
Brandon also told us that he had planned for us to test computers that day, but since he was very busy testing printers, we could not do it. I hope we get to do that on Tuesday.
